NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING CONCERNING THE INTENT OF THE BOARD OF EDUCATION OF TROY COMMUNITY CONSOLIDATED SCHOOL DISTRICT 30-C,
WILL COUNTY, ILLINOIS

PUBLIC NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Board of Education of Troy Community Consolidated School District 30-C, Will County, Illinois (the “District”), will hold a public hearing on the 16th day of October 2024, at 6:50 p.m. The hearing will be held at the District’s Administrative Office, 5800 Theodore St., Plainfield, IL 60586. The purpose of the hearing will be to receive public comments on the District’s proposed waiver application to be submitted to the Illinois State Board of Education regarding the Illinois School Code’s limitation on administrative expenditures (105 ILCS 5/17-1.5). A waiver to such limitation is intended to be sought due to accounting procedure changes for school support staff and a redesigned administrative structure at Troy Middle School and William B. Orenic Intermediate School.

The Board of Education is Troy CCSD 30-C's policy-making body, governing the educational and financial affairs of the district within the framework of state and federal law. The Board is composed of seven (7) citizens elected to serve overlapping terms of four (4) years.
